Pagebit is a Chrome extension that captures an element, the visible area, or a full web page as a PNG. This policy explains what it accesses and where your captures go.
Effective 30 September 2026What Pagebit accesses
When you use Pagebit on a tab, it accesses that page's visible content to create the screenshot you requested. Element and full page capture can temporarily inspect or scroll the page. Pagebit also uses the page title to suggest a PNG filename.
The extension requests Chrome's activeTab and scripting permissions to work on the tab after you invoke it. It requests downloads to save a PNG when you click Download and clipboardWrite to copy one when you click Copy.
Where screenshots are stored
Pagebit processes screenshots in your browser and stores the PNG, suggested filename, and capture time in the extension's local IndexedDB so it can open the preview tab. Pagebit does not upload screenshots or page content to a Pagebit server.
Click Delete or close the preview tab to remove Pagebit's stored PNG. If a close event is missed, Pagebit removes captures older than 24 hours on the next capture. On each new capture it also keeps no more than 20 captures or 100 MB in local storage. These limits are checked when a capture is saved, not continuously.
A PNG you download or copy is outside Pagebit's storage. Delete downloaded files or clipboard content using your device's controls.
How the data is used
Pagebit uses access to website content only to create screenshots you request and show them to you. We do not use screenshot or page content for advertising, profiling, or analytics. We do not sell it or transfer it to third parties. Pagebit staff cannot access captures through the extension. You decide whether to copy, download, or share a screenshot, including whether to send one to support.
This website and support
The website at pagebit.publishstudio.one contains no analytics or tracking scripts and does not set cookies in its code. The hosting provider may process standard access logs when you visit. If you email support, we receive the address and information you send and use them to respond to your request. Email providers process messages for delivery.
